Paint by Numbers - Haixia Liu

Haixia Liu, a Chinese painter, was born in 1962 into a family of artists in Hubei province, China. Encouraged and educated by her father and grandfather, she began drawing at an early age. She made paintings for local businesses at the age of 12.

Between 1981 and 1983, Liu chose to learn graphic design at the Hubei Industrial Institute.

From 1987 to 1999, after obtaining her BFA from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, one of the top fine arts schools in China, she worked as a graphic designer at China Packaging Import Export Corporation. Meanwhile, she works on realistic oil paintings. Her art reflects a passion for natural beauty.
